A first-of-its-kind live caption experience where multiple languages can be spoken at the same time — English, French, Spanish, and Danish — and unified into a single caption stream in each viewer's language of choice. Unlike tools like Google Meet that translate one speaker's language, this handles all speakers simultaneously, making it built for genuinely multilingual rooms: international meetings, OttawaU lectures, multinational teams. No other platform, to our knowledge, has deployed this capability.

Real-time multilingual speech recognition powered by Azure Cognitive Services streams every spoken language simultaneously, then merges them into a single unified caption feed.

Requirements
- A modern browser (Chrome, Edge, or Safari)
- Microphone or audio interface input
- Azure Speech Services key (free tier available)
- A stable internet connection
Setup guide
- 1Open the capture page at main-bilingual-captions.littlebigideas.ca/capture
- 2Get your Azure Speech key from portal.azure.com
- 3Paste your key and region into the credentials panel — it's saved to your browser, never our servers
- 4Pick your microphone from the dropdown and click Start Captioning
- 5Share the viewer URL with your audience — they can open it on any device
